Red Got a Constitution. Its First Rehearsal Caught Two Wrong Guesses.

In one day, Red got a written rulebook, a daily check on its own health, and a second opinion on approval requests. A rehearsal nobody asked for caught two mistakes.

Week ending May 15. Written up from the build log.

On Wednesday, Red got three new pieces at once.

A constitution: one document that says what Red can do on its own, what needs one tap from me, and what it never touches. A daily check on its own health, separate from my morning brief, asking whether Red itself is working and what's drifting. And a second-opinion step from a different AI, added to the shared approval workflow.

Nobody asked for a rehearsal before the health check's first run. Red ran one anyway, because the check could change real records.

The rehearsal failed. Red had written its database queries from how tables usually look, without checking how these tables actually looked, and two of those guesses were wrong. Both errors surfaced before anything had changed.

Red patched the queries, and a rule got written down: the first run of anything new that can change long-lived records is a rehearsal.
