By Khai Tran · · 8 min read
A sample one-hour prospecting plan with time for warm contacts, useful content, outreach, and follow-up notes. Adjust the volume to your workload.
Give Prospecting a Place in the Day
A scheduled hour can help you make time for contacts who need a follow-up, draft a useful post, and plan your next conversations. The schedule below is an example. Adjust the tasks and volume to your workload and the ways people have agreed to hear from you.
The 60-Minute Daily Prospecting Plan (Introvert Edition)
This plan breaks your prospecting hour into focused, manageable chunks so you stay productive without overwhelm.
0–10 Minutes: Mindset Reset
Before diving in, reset your mind:
- Review your top 3 leads or conversations from yesterday.
- Journal 1 line: “Who can I genuinely help today?”
- Put your phone on Do Not Disturb.
This step clears mental clutter and puts you in service mode not sales mode.
10–25 Minutes: Nurture Warm Leads
Focus on relationships, not volume. Choose 3–5 warm leads (past clients, sphere, or online followers) and send:
- A personalized message or DM
- A market update that’s relevant to their area
- Or a quick video message checking in
💡 Example DM:
“Hey [Name], saw you liked my post about condo pricing. Are you still thinking about buying this year, or just curious about what’s happening in your area?”
Keep it natural, short, and genuine.
25–40 Minutes: Create 1 Piece of Connection Content
Draft one useful post using information you have permission to share:
- A quick story about a recent client win
- A before-and-after photo with a caption
- A post answering a question you got this week
You’re not trying to “go viral.” You’re reminding people you’re present and reliable.
40–55 Minutes: Strategic Outreach
Now that you’ve warmed up, reach out to 3 new contacts. This could be:
- People you met at open houses
- New social media followers
- Small business owners in your area
💬 Example script:
“Hi [Name], I saw your new listing on [Street Name] , looks great! I’m an agent nearby and always love connecting with other pros in the area. Mind if I keep you in my network?”
Notice , no pushy sales tone, just connection.
55–60 Minutes: Quick Review + Next Steps
End your hour by reviewing what you did:
- Who replied or engaged?
- Who needs a follow-up tomorrow?
- What worked best today?
Write down your top 3 next steps for tomorrow’s session. Consistency compounds this 5-minute reflection keeps you improving without feeling stuck.
How to Stay Consistent (Even on Low-Energy Days)
On days with limited time or energy, reduce the plan to the follow-ups that matter most. You can also try:
- Batch conversations: Group outreach days by type (DMs one day, calls another).
- Use scripts as prompts, not walls: Adapt them until they sound like you.
- Celebrate the small wins: Notice useful replies and completed commitments, as well as activity counts.
- Schedule recovery: Add 10-minute recharge blocks between meetings.
When you respect your energy, your confidence follows.
Sample 5-Day Prospecting Week (Template)
| Day | Focus | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Warm Leads | 5 personalized messages |
| Tuesday | New Contacts | 3 intro DMs |
| Wednesday | Content | 1 market tip post |
| Thursday | Client Check-ins | 3 voice notes |
| Friday | Review | 10-min reflection + follow-up plan |
You’ll notice there’s no “grind until you drop” day just a repeatable rhythm that fits your personality.
