My AI Scored My Plan a 2.4. I Built It Anyway.

Red stress-tested my plan for the Academy and scored it 2.4 out of 5. I built it my way anyway, and Red wrote the disagreement down plainly.

Week ending July 31. Written up from the build log.

Last week, Red stress-tested my plan for the Academy, the course and community site I was getting ready to launch. It scored the plan 2.4 out of 5. The verdict was "not ready."

The main criticism was that my plan never asked whether I should build this at all or rent it. Red split the project in two. The part that decides who gets access to what, and for how long, was worth owning. The course player, the community feed and the notifications were not, because other companies have spent years polishing exactly that kind of software. Its advice was to own the brain and rent the screens.

It also said the scarce resource here was my attention across the four engines I run.

On Sunday, I chose to build all of it anyway. I wanted the community to stay with KTO rather than hand our members to another brand.

Red wrote the disagreement down plainly. The decision log doesn't call the verdict wrong, and it doesn't pretend the advice was followed. It records that the open question was answered by my choice, and not overridden quietly.

Then the work moved fast. A second AI built the Academy from a written plan, and Red reviewed the build twice before it shipped. The reviews found real problems, and those were fixed first. The Academy went live on Wednesday.
